Requirements:

  • At least one year’s experience as a specialty tint technician in an aftermarket or Auto Dealership is preferred.
  • Possesses a strong attention to detail.
  • Able to follow processes to ensure quality and safety.
  • Valid in-state driver’s license and have and maintain an acceptable, safe driving record
  • Able to read and comprehend written instructions and information.
  • General mechanical skills.
  • Able to drive manual transmission vehicles

Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in PPF Installation: Work under the guidance of experienced PPF installers to assist in the installation of Paint Protection Film (PPF) on a variety of vehicles, including new inventory and customer vehicles.
  2. Surface Preparation: Prepare vehicle surfaces for PPF application by thoroughly cleaning and ensuring they are free from contaminants that may affect adhesion.
  3. Quality Control: Maintain a keen eye for detail and assist in ensuring that PPF is installed accurately and free from imperfections such as bubbles, creases, or misalignment.
  4. Tool Maintenance: Help in the care and maintenance of installation tools and equipment, ensuring they are clean and in good working condition.
  5. Workspace Organization: Keep the work area tidy and organized to promote an efficient and safe working environment.
  6. Learn Techniques: Continuously learn and improve PPF installation techniques under the guidance of senior installers, staying up to date with industry best practices.
  7. Customer Communication: Assist in explaining the PPF installation process and addressing customer questions or concerns as needed.
  8. Adherence to Safety: Follow safety protocols to ensure a secure working environment and minimize risks.
  9. Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with the team to ensure a smooth workflow and meet project deadlines.

  1. Preparing Work Area: Clean and prepare the installation area, ensuring it’s free of debris, dust, and any obstacles that could hinder the installation process.
  2. Material Handling: Assist in handling and transporting vinyl flooring materials to the installation site. Verify the quantity and quality of materials to ensure they meet project requirements.
  3. Subfloor Preparation: Help prepare the subfloor by leveling, patching, and repairing any imperfections to create a smooth and even surface for vinyl installation.
  4. Layout and Cutting: Assist in laying out the vinyl flooring according to the design plan or as directed by a senior installer. Measure and cut vinyl sheets or tiles to fit the layout and ensure they align properly with walls and edges.
  5. Adhesive Application: Assist in applying adhesive or underlayment to the subfloor, ensuring a secure bond with the vinyl material.
  6. Vinyl Installation: Help with the installation of vinyl flooring, whether it’s vinyl sheets, tiles, or planks, ensuring they are properly aligned and free of wrinkles or bubbles. Use tools like rollers and trowels to press and smooth the vinyl into place.
  7. Seam Sealing: Assist in sealing seams, if required, to ensure a water-resistant and durable installation.
  8. Trimming and Finishing: Trim excess vinyl at edges and transitions, ensuring a neat and professional finish. Install baseboards or transition strips as needed to cover gaps and provide a finished look.
  9. Cleanup: Clean the work area thoroughly after installation, removing any debris, adhesive residues, and waste materials.
  10. Quality Control: Assist in inspecting the installed vinyl for defects, ensuring it meets quality standards. Address any issues or imperfections to achieve a high-quality finish.
  11. Learning and Development: Continuously learn and develop skills related to vinyl flooring installation techniques and tools.
  12. Safety: Follow safety guidelines and practices to minimize the risk of accidents or injuries on the job.
